Abstract

1,061,107. Valves. PHILCO CORPORATION. June 15, 1965, No. 25248/65. Heading F2V. [Also in Division G3] A fluid flow control valve comprises a cylindrical cavity 18, having an inlet 12 and two outlets 16, 17. A flexible valve closure 11 is arranged between the outlets and seats on one of the outlets in response to an electrical signal fed to one of two solenoids 12, 13. The valve closure may carry a ball to seat on the outlets. The electrical supply to the solenoids is from a pulse duration modulator which causes the closure to dwell on the outlets in direct relation to the pulse duration. The outlets may be connected to opposite ends of a power device to provide thrust with varying flow through the nozzles.
