Abstract
1,060,507. Massage appliances. KOT PAKSANG, [trading as LEADER METAL & PLASTIC MANUFACTORY]. May 13, 1965 No. 20284/65. Heading A5R. A dry-cell-operated vibrator for therapeutic purposes comprises a dry cell casing suitable for holding in the hand, a vibrating head provided with electric contacts for connection to a dry cell in the casing, an applicator suitable for placing on parts of the human body and for transmitting vibrations from the vibrating head when the head is energised by the cell, and an electric motor contained in the vibrating head and having an eccentrically - mounted weight in the form of a block integral with a radial arm mounted on the driven shaft. When rotating the weight causes the motor and hence the vibrating head and in turn the whole vibrator to vibrate. As illustrated in Figure 1, the vibrator comprises a casing 1 to opposite ends of which are secured a vibrating head 2 and a closure cap 6 housing a helical spring 7. A switch 5 is provided on the casing. An applicator in the form of a rubber or plastics suction cap 4 is secured to a knob 3 on the side of the vibrating head. The vibrating head is illustrated in detail in Fig. 2 (not shown).
