Abstract

1,060,394. Floor shuttering girders. URANUS TRUST. Aug. 28, 1963 [Aug. 29, 1962], No. 34017/63. Heading E1S. A girder for falsework for floors &c. comprises an upper chord composed of two or more rows of beams la, 1b side by side, transverse ties 2 which connect the beams together end to end and the rows together laterally and a lower chord of rods 5 connected end to end by turnbuckles 6 and struts 3, 4 connecting the chords together. Each beam 1a, 1b has an inverted channel top chord, a lower chord 1c and struts 1d. The beams la, 1b may be of I or V-section or tubular. Various arrangements of struts are shown some having turnbuckles. In Fig. 7 (not shown) several girders are connected side by side by tie rods. The transverse ties 2 are T-section or tubular. An end transverse tie, Fig. 19 has pivoted plates 22, for the struts, which are angularly adjustable by means of a slot 26.
