Abstract
1,056,454. Photographic reversal processes. EASTMAN KODAK CO. July 10, 1963 [July 11, 1962], No.27275/63. Heading G2C. In the reversal processing of colour or black and white material, an aqueous solution of a boron compound which has at least one and not more than three boron to hydrogen bonds or which contains two or more amine groups each bonded to BH3 is used as a chemical fogging agent to form the reversal latent image. The boron compound may be incorporated in the second colour developer solution and may be used to treat coupler incorporated colour materials as well as those in which the coupler is incorporated in the colour developer, but in the latter case the aqueous solution of the boron compound is only used to fog the third layer. Specified boron compounds are mono-, di, and tri-alkylamine and hydroxy alkylamine boranes; NH3, BH3; arylamine boranes; heterocyclic amine boranes e.g. lutidine and pyridine boranes; phosphine arsine and stibine boranes; borazines; and ethylene diamine diborane and hydrazine diborane.
