Abstract

1,055,778. Valves. FISHER FOUNDRIES Ltd. Nov. 17, 1965 [Nov. 17, 1964], No. 46862/64. Heading F2V. A float valve, having an inlet 22, is carried on one wall of a housing 1 of which the underside is open and which contains the float. This housing is adapted to be secured to the upper edge 21 of an open-topped tank such as a cattle drinking trough. Clamps 18 fit into slots provided by a plate 3a on the housing. Adjustment holes 4 in the plate receive screws 19 engaging in the clamps which are secured to the tank by thumb-screws 20. The valve comprises a nozzle 17, Fig. 2 (not shown), closed by a resilient button 7 on the float arm 6. The housing 2 is of plastics material.
