Abstract
1,054,207. Bag handles. WOLF BROS. Inc. Nov. 25, 1964 [July 21, 1964], No. 48010/64. Heading A4G. The walls 18, Fig. 3, of a container, e.g. paper bag, are provided with a reinforcing patch 22 and tabs 28, 30 are cut through both wall and patch. Plastics or leather strip handles 6, Fig. 4, are provided with end shoulder portion 8, 10 and a locking tab 12 with upstanding ears 14, 16. The tabs are hinged inwards and the locking tab passed through the opening inwardly and turned through a right angle so that shoulders 8, 10 rest on the edge of the opening of tab 28 to prevent further inward movement and the locking tab and ears rest inside the wall to prevent the handle being withdrawn, the ears preventing lateral swinging of the handles. The handle strip may be provided with snap closure members.
