Addition to 1,020,336. Headings AID and A1M. An animal enclosure open below to provide access to forage or grass over which the enclosure is positioned is motordriven to move step by step round a closed path the motor being operated by livestock within the enclosure reaching for forage. A brooder house having a heated compartment connected by ramps to a feeding enclosure is supported on a central pillar 11, 12 and on wheels 9 running on circular track 8, the house being moved by means of a winch 21 operated by an electric motor 22 to wind in a cable attached to an anchor trolley on the track ahead of the house, the motor being operated by the displacement of flaps 25 in the front wall of enclosure as the livestock reach for forage. A travelling food hopper is movable along a track running the length of the enclosure and has an adjustable flap at its outlet whereby the amount of feed delivered to troughs in the enclosure can be varied. Watering troughs are also provided. Cultivators, seed sowers, fertilizer hoppers, and land irrigation pipes may be attached to the rear of the enclosure. More than one enclosure may be provided, moving on concentric circular tracks.
