Abstract

1,052,073. Partition walls. BELLROCK GYPSUM INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 29, 1965 [Nov. 3, 1964], No. 44716/64. Heading E1W. A partition wall comprises a frame structure of studs 12 spanning between ceiling- and floormounted framing members 10, 11 respectively, and carrying on one or both sides a plurality of panels 13 on which are mounted a further plurality of panels 14, the joint lines 16 between the panels 13 being staggered in relation to the joint lines 15 between the panels 14. The edges of the panels 14 may be bevelled or tapered to form V-shaped grooves 17 between the panels, the grooves being filled with a gypsum plaster based stopping compound which may be reinforced by a strip of jointing tape. The panels 13, 14 may be connected by a bonding compound, staples or screws.
