[Also in Division F1] The pistons 1 in an I.C. engine, pump or compressor are of elongated rectangular crosssection with the direction of elongation extending transversely of the cylinder row. Sealing strips 11 mounted in grooves in the pistons are biased against the cylinder walls by spring strips of corrugated or bowed form.
