Abstract
1,049,681. Boxes. REED PAPER GROUP Ltd. July 14, 1965 [May 21, 1964], No. 21042/64. Heading B8P. A protective insert 2 for a rectangular or other shaped box 1 is made from a blank of corrugated cardboard &c., Fig. 1 (not shown), with four pillars 8 formed from panels 6 that are hinged to side panels 4, overlapping portions 9 being stapled, glued or taped together. The side panels 4 each have a top closure panel 5 which has end flaps 10 similar to end flaps 11 on a base panel 3. These flaps 10, 11 serve to space the panels 3, 5 from the floor and lid of the box 1. The pillars 8 extend beyond the base, top, and side panels to space said panels from the box. The pillars 8 may alternatively be formed from panels similar to the panels 6 but having only two fold lines.
