Abstract
1,047,863. Gas scrubber. AJEM LABORATORIES, Inc. Jan. 20, 1964, No. 2398/64. Heading B1R. In a gas scrubber having a rotary liquid spray distributor of the cage type the cage is surrounded by a cylindrical baffle 70 with a frusto-conical top 71 defining with the wall of the scrubber casing 10 an asymmetrical annular chamber into which the gas to be scrubbed is introduced longentially through an inlet 75 to rotate in the annular chamber in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the cage. The lower edge of the baffle 70 may have apertures 85 with deflector plates 86 arranged as shown.
