Abstract

1,046,892. Loading and unloading vehicles. FOENETER S.A. Feb. 4, 1964 [Feb. 7, 1963 (2)], No. 4640/64. Heading B8E. [Also in Division B1] A container 3 is rotatably and tiltably supported on a frame 10-13 which is adapted to be supported on the load platform of a lorry and which is provided with two hydraulicallyactuated telescopic supports 15, Fig. 2 (not shown), supporting hydraulic jacks 16 and with an hydraulic jack 17 whereby, on extending the jacks 16, 17 into contact with the ground, the frame is raised from the load platform. The container 3 is mounted for rotation about its axis of symmetry in a bearing 20, which is connected by a pivot 19 to the frame 12, and is rotated by a motor through a sun wheel 21 and pinion 22. The rear end of the container is supported by rollers 25, 26 mounted in a frame 24 which is adapted to be raised and lowered on arcuate guides 13 by a winch 29 and cable 30 to tilt the container between the positions I, II. In a modification, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown), the frame 24 is provided with pivotally mounted guide shoes which engage in rectilinear guides.
