Abstract

Compounds of the formula <FORM:1043042/C2/1> where X is <FORM:1043042/C2/2> morpholinyl or piperidyl and R1 and R2 are hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl and cyclohexyl can be prepared by sulphonating 2,3 - dihydroxy - quinoxaline, reacting the product with phosphorus penta-chloride and reacting the resulting 2,3-dichloro quinoxaline - 6 - sulphonyl chloride with ammonia or an appropriate organic base. They are stated to be novel.ALSO:A microbiocidal composition comprises a compound of formula <FORM:1043042/A5-A6/1> where X is <FORM:1043042/A5-A6/2> , morpholyl or piperidyl and R1 and R2 are hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, phenyl substituted phenyl the substituent may be an alkyl or alkoxy group or a chlorine atom, and cyclohexyl, as active ingredient and a diluent therefor in the form of a dispersion, emulsion, solutions or solid composition such as a dust or wettable powder. The compositions may contain other pesticides or fertilizers and non-ionic surfactants.
