A steam or vapour bath, which comprises a collapsible or foldable cabinet with closure flaps 2 shaped to accommodate the neck of a user and a tray-like floor 7, has steam admitted to its interior by means of pipes 9A and 11A connected to a separate externally-located, electrically heater water boiler or steam generator 10. Pipe 9A may be composed of a di-electric material. A seat 18 is, and a foot support 8 may be, provided in the cabinet.
