Abstract

L’invention concerne un élément absorbeur de chocs (13) pour véhicule automobile. L’élément absorbeur de chocs (13) est destiné à être assemblé sur une extrémité arrière d’un longeron latéral du véhicule automobile. L’élément absorbeur de chocs (13) comporte une jambe de force (14), un organe de fixation (15) destinée à permettre la fixation de la jambe de force (14) au longeron du véhicule automobile et un dispositif de fixation (16) destiné à permettre la fixation de la jambe de force (14) à un panneau arrière du véhicule automobile. Dans l’élément absorbeur de chocs (13) selon l’invention, la jambe de force (14) comporte un dispositif déformable – dit dispositif (18) à déformation programmée – configuré pour autoriser une dissipation d’énergie mécanique en cas de compression de ladite jambe de force (14).
