Abstract

The basin or swimming pool or aquarium has a lower part made of concrete or resin shell and including a support (1) that is provided with a rabbet (3) for receiving a glass wall (2) embedded in the rabbet. The glass wall penetrates the rabbet to retain water pressure and to ensure sealing of the basin at same time. The glass wall is maintained by rigid embedding of mortar resin that is applied directly to the rabbet. The glass wall is protected by a thin resilient material in order to avoid generation of hard and harmful contact between the glass wall and the mortar resin.

Description

The present invention relates to the field of pools, ponds, aquariums overflow on a glass wall embedded in the foot. The pools, basins, overflow aquariums are traditionally made of one or more opaque walls, over which the overflow of the water level occurs. Some basins have an overflow on one, two, three, or four sides, complete or partial in the case of a rectangular pool or any shape. The opaque walls do not allow vision or perception of light through the wall over which overflow occurs. There are portholes, but still have a peripheral support surface and therefore do not support the overflow. The present invention makes it possible to produce one or more vertical glass walls, held only in the lower part, making it possible to contain the water in the pool and ensuring an overflow directly above its upper part. The principle of the invention consists in: - Creating a rabbet in the lower support of the basin. The latter will be dimensioned according to the construction mode of the basin to provide in the latter the necessary reinforcements (Reinforcement concrete, composite shell reinforcement, resins, wood, ...) Make the penetration of the basin in the upper part of the rabbet to achieve a continuity of the seal, both the basin side and the side gutter or buffer tank. - Position at the foot of the glazed element, a thin resilient allowing differential expansion between the glazing and its support. Put in place the glazed element, equipped with the resilient in foot, sized according to the height of retention of the basin, in the rabbet by maintaining it not temporary shims. Pour a resin mortar without shrinkage between the support and the resilient. - Complete the watertightness of the pool between the latter and the glazing by extruding either a sealant, an adhesive or a compatible resin. The invention is described below in more detail with the help of the figures of the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 shows a side view in section of the basin. Figure 2 shows a detail view of the rabbet. The construction steps of the invention are presented in the attached plan. - The support material, (mark 1), of the glass wall, (mark 2), must be calculated to withstand the pressure of the water, (reinforcement in the case of a concrete wall, reinforcement in the case a resin shell, ...). The depth of the rabbet, (mark 3), must allow sufficient anchoring of the glazing without causing any detrimental stress to the latter. - The tightness of the basin, (mark 4), consisting of a liner or a resin, turns inside the rabbet to allow a perfect seal. - A thin resilient, (mark 5), applied to the surface of the glass, will be in contact with the resin mortar without shrinkage, (mark 6), in order to separate the glazing, fragile element, from its seal, rigid element. - Implementation of the glazed element in the rabbet, maintaining it in its final position by means of wedges point, not shown. - Filling of the space between the rebate and the resilient glued on the glazing by a resin mortar without shrinkage, (mark 6). - A complementary sealing sealant, (mark 7), will be applied between the main sealing back in the rebate and the glazing, above the resin mortar. - After filling the pond, the water line (mark 8) overflows over the inset glazing and is collected in a gutter or buffer tank (item 9).

This invention can be used as part of an overflow basin with one or more sides, to create an original and modern pool.
