Abstract

The support discs (2) for mechanically or electrically driven roasting spits are slotted onto the spit, and have, in the middle, two opposite springs (8,9). The springs can operate a braking and centering action on different diameters of spit (5). The outer circumference of the disc has notches spaced regularly apart, into which fit the spits (3). Each spit has a cross-section, near its base (4) preventing the spit from twisting round on its support.
