Abstract

Each cup of the brassiere consists of two parts, an upper fixed part (19) and a lower detachable part (20). Each detachable part is joined to the rest of the brassiere by lateral sewing (21) and the free edge (22) has, along all its length, a band (23) which can adhere to another band (24) attached to the fixed part and to the lower band of elastic (16). The lower part of each cup is either shaped or has a sufficient elasticity to hold a dressing against the breast. All the materials of which the brassiere is made can be sterilised. The dressing may additionally be held by adhesive tape.
