A breast support assembly comprises a support 10 of flexible material adapted to be positioned under a breast to give support thereto, and a layer of adhesive material 18, 19 having adhesive on both sides so that one side can adhere to a peripheral portion of the support 10 and the other side to the body of the wearer. The support 10, which is of foamed plastics, has smooth material such as cotton or nylon bonded onto each side; strips 18 and 19 are of transparent plastics material having adhesive on each face, and are removable from the support 10. The strips are thus replaceable after loss of adhesive, or may alternatively be reactivated by application of liquid adhesive; when not in use, the adhesive surfaces are covered by protective strips (not shown). Notches 17 in the support 10 and the parts 18, 19 allow the support to bend; a score line 21 allows the initially flat support to conform to the wearer's breast. Prior to adhesion body oils are removed with eau de Cologne or surgical spirit, and the support may be applied with the tops of side arms 11 at the same height as one another or with the arm nearer the centre of the chest lower than the outer arm. The thickness of material 10 may be reduced adjacent upper edge 13 to allow an edging 14, which may be of lace, to be stitched or otherwise secured to that edge. A further adhesive strip (not shown) may be applied just below the edging. The support may alternatively be moulded to form a shaped cup of polypropylene, extending around the whole of a breast; two cups may be moulded together, Figs. 6, 7 (not shown). Decorative bows (16, 37) may be provided.
