Abstract

A heat exchanger for air conditioning, which may have two separate units one above the other, using trickle plates over which water is allowed to pass, pumped around a circuit equipped with a filter near the pump, for direct contact between air flowing horizontally between the vertical trickle plates, includes a liquid transfer arrangement between the upper and lower set of trickle plates to prevent the air circulating through the upper unit from mingling with that through the lower unit. At right angles to the trickle plates (4, 5) are horizontal collector channels (29) each with a curved plate terminating at one side in a raised edge (28) which is then folded over (31) to cover the lower edge (30) of the next channel.
