Abstract

The drive system has a cable (3) which is wrapped several times round the drive drum (1). Axial movement of the cable (3) along the drum is prevented by a pulley with side cheeks, the pulley being freely mounted on a shaft (5) which is parallel with the main drum shaft (2). The cable (3) is first wound on the main drum, then on the pulley and after several windings finally leaves from the drum. The width of the pulley depends on the number of turns required. The drive may be used to feed bread etc. through the ovens in a bakery.
