Abstract

The filter non-return valve is in the form of an annular disc which fits between the end face of the cartridge and the cartridge housing cover in which the filter inlet ports are formed. The valve disc is centred coaxially with the cartridge by locating elements which engage positively between the disc and the adjacent end face of the cartridge, e.g. an annular rib on the valve engaging an annular groove in the cartridge end face, or vice verse. Suitable for cylindrical pressure filters of the type commonly employed for oil filtration on IC engines.
