Abstract
Termotrooppinen pääketjuinen nestekidehomo- tai kopolymeeri, joka muodostaa nestekidevaiheen ja joka sisältää aromaattisen monomeerin, jossa on orto- tai metaasemassa oleva funktionaaliset ryhmät. Polymeerilla on sekä isotrooppiset että anisotrooppiset ominaisuudet. Esillä oleva keksintö saa myös aikaan menetelmän esillä olevien polymeerien valmistamiseksi kuten myös menetelmän polyesteri-pohjaisten nestekidepolymeerien sulatyöstettävyyden parantamiseksi, jonka menetelmän mukaan polymeere~hin sisällytetään 1 - 30 mooli-% esim. orto-substituoitua monomeeria, jossa on hydroksyyli ja/tai karboksyyliryhmiä.
