PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA DETERMINACION FOTOMETRICA DEL TIEMPO DE TROMBOPLASTINA. CONSISTE EN PREPARAR UN REACTIVO A BASE DE UNA SOLUCION TAMPON CON UN INTERVALO DE PH DE 7 A 8,5, CON UNA TROMBOPLASTINA PROTEOLITICAMENTE ACTIVA (OBTENIDA PREFERENTEMENTE DE PLACENTA HUMANA) Y UN SUSTRATO CROMOGENO PARA TROMBINA, QUE ES DISOCIADO POR LA TROMBOPLASTINA EN PRESENCIA DE IONES CALCIO, CON UNA PEQUEÑA VELOCIDAD DE REACCION. SE MEZCLA ESTA SOLUCION CON PLASMA Y SE DETERMINA EL TIEMPO EN QUE SE ALCANZA UN DETERMINADO AUMENTO DE LA EXTINCION. APLICABLE EN LA VIGILANCIA DE LA TERAPIA CON ANTICOAGULANTES.
