Abstract
8-((4-(2-Pyrimidinyl) 1-piperazinyl)alkyl) 8-azaspiro-(4,5)-decano -7,9-dione derivs. of formula (I), in which n is 2-5 and their acid addn. salts, are made by (a) reaction of 3,3-tetra methylene glutaric anhydride with a N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) methylene diamine (II) in an inert organic solvent, e.g. an aromatic hydrocarbon; (b) treatment of the prod. with thionyl chloride; and (c) reaction with 2-amino pyrimidine in an inert polar organic solvent at reflux temp..
