PROCEDIMIENTO DE REFINADO DE METAL FERROCROMO. EL METAL FERROCROMO Y UN OXIDO METALICO SE MEZCLAN CON UNOS FUNDENTES QUE INCLUYEN CUARZO, CALIZA, DOLOMITA Y CARBONATO SODICO. SE CALIENTA DICHA MEZCLA EN PRESENCIA DE UN PLASMA TERMICO DE ARCO TRANSFERIDO, PARA REALIZAR UNA ESCORIA LIQUIDA, PARA EL REFINADO DE METAL LIQUIDO EN UN AMBIENTE SUSTANCIALMENTE LIBRE DE CARBONO. EL CALENTAMIENTO SE LLEVA A CABO A UNA PRESION IGUAL O INFERIOR A LA ATMOSFERICA.
