Abstract

An electronic taximeter is provided which is able to establish the total costs for time or route and display the fare to be paid. The total value is accumulated in the taximeter by exact costs continuously summing up which precisely correspond to the small fractions of charges which are represented in each case by a pulse either of a timing pulse train or of a route pulse train. The displayed fare is moved on by predetermined values as a function of a regular comparison of the displayed fare and the total amount summed up.
