Abstract
The invention relates to a rail vehicle with a bogie without bolster and to a coach body (14) which is suspended on the bogie by means of a support device arranged behind. The support device is composed of at least one pneumatic spring (18) which is formed from a tubular flexible chamber (20) which contains a pressurised gas and is attached with one end (20a) to the floor of the coach body (14) in an airtight manner and with the other end (20b) in an airtight manner to an elastic support element (34) which is attached to the bogie. The invention is characterised in that the support device (16) which is arranged behind also has an auxiliary suspension (41) whose vertical rigidity is less than that of the elastic support element (34). The auxiliary suspension (41) which is normally in the non-deformed state of rest is only active in the event of a drop in pressure in the tubular flexible chamber (20) of the pneumatic spring (18) in conjunction with the elastic support element (34).
