EL PROCESO CONSISTE EN INTRODUCIR LA PIRITA PULVERULENTA A TRAVES DE UN CANAL (6) HASTA LA CAMARA DE REACCION CICLONICA (4), AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE EN LA CAMARA DE CALCINACION CICLONICA (3) EL GAS COMBUSTIBLE ES INTRODUCIDO A TRAVES DE UNA BOQUILLA (7) Y EL AIRE DE CALENTAMIENTO A TRAVES DE OTRA BOQUILLA (8). DESDE LA CAMARA DE CALCINACION (3) EL GAS, A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 180 G, ES INTRODUCIDO EN LA CAMARA DE REACCION (4), DONDE SE EFECTUA LA OXIDACION DEL AZUFRE, CONTENIDO EN LA PIRITA EN FORMA DE SULFUROS Y SULFATOS, A SO2 AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE SE FUNDE DICHA PIRITA.
