Abstract
Procedimiento para fabricar un artículo refractario, exotérmico y termo-aislante, de utilidad en la industria metalúrgica y que tiene una densidad inferior a 0,75 g/cc, exhibiendo propiedades exotérmicas y termo-aislantes y formándose por separación de líquido de una lechada, incluyendo el contenido en sólidos de la lechada un aglutinante e incluyendo, en peso de los sólidos totales, de 8 a 20% de un metal oxidable particulado, de 5 a 25% de un material fibroso refractario y de un 5 a 20% de una perlita expandida que tiene, en su estado pulverulento seco, una densidad aparente (sin apisonar) inferior a 0,15 g/cc; caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: -formar una lechada acuosa con los ingredientes del artículo; -desaguar una cantidad de la lechada en un formador, para dar un artículo mojado de la configuración deseada; -separar el artículo mojado del formador; -secar el artículo; y -causar o permitir el endurecimiento del aglutinante.
