Abstract

Procedimiento y aparato para la producción en fase gaseosa a baja presión de polímeros particulados sólidos, durante una reacción de polimerización exotérmica en un reactor de lecho fluido vertical de diámetro uniforme, caracterizándose el procedimiento porque comprende alimentar un catalizador de polimerización y una corriente gaseosa que contiene al menos un monómero polimerizable a un lecho fluido de partículas poliméricas en dicho reactor, a una presión de 3,5 a 70 kg/cm2; separar el calor exotérmico de reacción por medios de enfriamiento indirecto en dicho reactor; y separar polímero particulado del reactor; siendo la velocidad de flujo másico gaseoso a través del lecho fluido del orden de 1,5 a <10 Gmf aproximadamente, basado en el área en sección transversal mínima libre del lecho.
