Abstract

Una lámpara de descarga de alta presión que tiene una ampolla de lámpara cerrada permeable a la luz hermética al vacío, dentro de la cual está dispuesto un vaso de descarga cerrado permeable a la luz hermético al vacío, estando evacuado el espacio entre ellos o conteniendo una atmósfera gaseosa no oxidante, cuyo depósito está provisto de un electrodo respectivo en cada extremo y una carga ionizable, extendiéndose conductores de corriente eléctrica respectivos a través de la pared de la ampolla de la lámpara y a través de la pared del vaso de descarga hasta los electrodos, estando acomodada una lámina metálica sensible a la oxidación, que se fractura al oxidarse, entre las dos paredes mencionadas en serie con uno de los conductores de corriente, caracterizada porque la lámina metálica está situada junto a uno de dichos electrodos en la proximidad inmediata de la pared del depósito de descarga.
