Abstract

In the mfr. of slubbed multifilament yarn, the knops are distributed irregularly along the yarn length. The yarn has =30 knops with a titre of >=1500 in every 914 m. length of yarn. There is 1 dense point/metre of yarn length. The coherence factor of the combined yarn between the knops is of the order of 4-14, which increases with the number of large knops. The combined slubbed yarn acts well in the loom.
