Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de un elastómero termoplástico de poliuterano, en que se hace reaccionar un diisocianato organico, un diol polímero, teniendo un peso molecular desde alrededor de 400 hasta alrededor de 4000 y un extendedor difuncional, opcionalmente en presencia de un catalizador, en proporciones tales que la proporción general de isocianato a hidroxilo en grupos este en el alcance de 0,95:1 a 1, 10:1, caracterizado porque el diisocianato empleado es el producto de reacción de 4,4-metilnobis-(fenil isocianato) y de 0,0005 a 0,05 equivalentes, por equivalente de diisocianato, de un alcohol alifático monohidrico, teniendo de 1 a 18 átomos de carbono.
