Abstract

Procedimiento de fabricación de productos de acero por vía sólida, tales como barras, tubos perfiles, flejes, a partir de un mineral de hierro enriquecido y sin pasar por el estado líquido, caracterizado porque se prepara un mineral de hierro concentrado prerreducido en polvo cuya proporción en óxidos no reducibles es inferior al 1%, por trituración de un mineral de hierro enriquecido de tipo corriente a una granulometría inferior a la malla de liberación, prerreducción del mineral triturado en forma de polvo o de bolitas, trituración del mineral prerreducido a una granulometría inferior o igual a la del mineral antes de la prerreducción, y de enriquecimiento por separación magnética a baja intensidad; se efectúa un mezclado homogéneo de este mineral con un lubricante, un reductor carbonado en polvo o líquido y, eventualmente, un aglutinante; se compacta en frío o en tibio un lingote de esta mezcla; se lleva a un horno el lingote compactado a una temperatura comprendida entre 1100ºC y 1350ºC bajo corriente de gas neutro o reductor de modo a permitir su reducción completa en un lingote de acero poroso no oxidado; y se transforma el lingote caliente que sale del horno por extrusionado, laminado o forjado de modo a obtener el producto deseado.
