An improved valve device comprising two hollow body parts together defining a conduit for fluid flow through the valve, a valve seat in one of the body parts, looking at the valve seat along the conduit, an actuation member that is positioned around the exterior of at least one of the body parts and that forms liquid-tight closures with both body parts and that is screwed to at least one of the body parts, and a valve member for cooperation with the valve seat, said valve member cooperating with the actuating member, whereby threading of the actuating member causes the valve member to move along the conduit relative to the valve seat, at least in the valve closing direction.
