Refinements introduced into a carburetor mounting gasket for interposition between a carburettor and an internal combustion engine block around a passageway, including, in combination, a molded cores, of heat insulating thermosetting resin, having primary passage means to therethrough for alignment with said passage, said core comprising a main body that provides a flat base around said passage and a thicker part immediately surrounding said passage means and having a flat bearing surface, said core also having screw openings therethrough and thickened projections surrounding each of said screw openings, and two thin cut-out sheets of elastic gasket material, one of which faces said flat base, the other facing said flat bearing surface, thereby obtaining the sealing effect of the seal, while also isolating the carburetor from the heat from the mentioned engine block.
