Procedure for the preparation of acylated N (6) -aralkoxy-adenosine derivatives of the general formula I **(See formula)** wherein R1 and R2 signify hydrogen, halogen, an alcoholic group, alkoxy or alcoholmercapto, R3 means halogen, an alcoholic group, alkoxy to alcoholmercapto and R4 means an alcoholic or aryl group or a heterocyclic radical, as well as their pharmacologically compatible salts, characterized because in a manner known per se a) N (6) substituted adenosine derivatives of general formula II are reacted **(See formula)** in which R1, R2, and R3 have the meanings mentioned above, with an acid of the general formula III r4-coOh (III), in which R4 has the aforementioned meanings, or with a reactive derivative thereof; or b) compounds of the general formula IV are reacted **(See formula)** in which R4 has the meanings mentioned above and X means a reactive radical, with an amine of the general formula V **(See formula)** in which R1, R2 and R3 have the indicated meanings, and the compounds obtained are eventually transformed into their pharmacologically compatible salts.
