Abstract

A method for leather compliance, characterized in that it comprises: (a) placing the leather substrate to be finished between a support layer that has a finish receiving surface in contact with said substrate and a release layer that has a removable leather finish coating thereon; (b) transferring the finish coating from the release layer to the surface of the leather substrate and the backing layer superimposed thereon, thereby displacing virtually all of the coating from the release layer of the backing layer and the finished coated leather substrate thereon; and (d) removing the coated leather substrate from the backing layer.
