Improvements introduced in the object of the main patent nº 368.028, issued on March 10, 1971, for "A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A COMPOSITE COATING BY EXTRUSION ON A SOUL OF AN ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR", whose improvements include making the core go through the core tube of an extrusion machine, which feeds peripherally continuous extruded layers of the coating materials simultaneously to the exit end of the extrusion machine, causing the extruded layers to come into full and intimate interfacial contact, and continuous treatment of the composite coating thus formed by passing the coated core through a chamber hermetically closed with respect to the outlet end of the extrusion machine and containing a fluid agent at pressure higher than atmospheric, in which the first layer is extruded directly onto the core by pressure extrusion, and at the same time fluid pre sion is injected between the first extruded layer and the second extruded layer and is maintained at a pressure that is less than that of the fluid agent in such an amount that the pressure difference across the second extruded layer in the extrusion orifice is sufficient to make the second extruded layer fit tightly over the first extruded layer as the coated core exits the extrusion machine, but is insufficient to drive the second extruded layer back into the extrusion hole.
