Abstract

A web-like tyre traction device adapted for use with tyre chains comprises a body 1 which has two apertures 23 to receive the chain, an edge face 19 adapted to engage the tyre and carries two outer ground engaging members 3 and one or more intermediate ground engaging members 4, the longitudinal sides 12 of the member 4 protruding beyond the planes containing the longitudinal sides 8 of the body 1. The sides 12 diverge towards the ground engaging base 13 of the member 4, the base 13 being formed of two plane faces 14 having an obtuse angle therebetween.
