Abstract
Lock latch device, characterized by comprising in combination, a housing, lock means, movably secured to said housing for movement between closed and open positions, relative to said housing, and latching locking means for releasably securing the lock means and the housing as a whole closed, and characterized in that the closure catch means comprises a retainer on the housing, upper and lower pivot bearings, formed on the lock means, defining a pivot axis and each comprising spaced-apart rotation bearings, said upper and lower pivot bearing defining an opening laterally extended therebetween, a lever, having one end thereof formed with opposite, laterally projecting pivot pins, said pivot pins disposed on the pivot bearings in releasable contact with them, said lever being rotatable about the pivot axis between the positions locked and unlocked with detent, the lever being movable through said opening when in the unlocked position for attachment and separation from the lock means, and elongated spring means, secured at one end to the lever and engageable at its other end with the housing detent, said spring being movable to the locked and unlocked positions with detent, by rotating the lever about the pivot axis in jumping movements about the center.
