Abstract

Mejoras introducidas en la fabricación de recipientes de material plástico esponjoso, caracterizado por una placa redonda de metal en lámina delgada, u hoja de metal, provista de un recubrimiento que es capaz de ser soldado, que es colocada sobre la abertura del recipiente de plástico esponjoso; porque la parte del borde de dicha placa redonda es doblada hacia abajo, mientras está siendo plegada, contra el exterior de la abertura del recipiente; y porque a continuación es suministrado calor a aquella parte de la porción de cubierta que está doblada hacia abajo contra el cuerpo del recipiente, con lo cual el material plástico esponjoso de la porción calentada del recipiente es hecho hincharse y llenar los pliegues de la porción de cubierta, que fueron formados cuando su zona de borde fue doblada hacia abajo, y el recubrimiento de la porción de cubierta, que es capaz de ser soldado, es hecho unirse a la capa superficial del recipiente de plástico esponjoso, de manera que forme un cierre estanco y duradero.
