VEHICLES

TECHNICAL SECTOR

The present utility model application relates to a new type of system for pedestrian road safety when faced with heavy motor vehicles, consisting of a device that emits a light and acoustic signal. Therefore, the technical sector encompassing the invention is the automotive industry, specifically vehicle accessories such as headlights, signals, etc.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A car's headlights and lights are essential components for road safety, as they allow the driver to see and be seen in different lighting and weather conditions. Today, headlights using halogen bulbs, xenon headlights, and LED headlights are common. The main functions of these headlights and their locations on the vehicle are as follows:

Lights located only on the front of the vehicle:

• Low beam: used to illuminate the road in front of the vehicle without dazzling oncoming drivers.

• High Beam: Provides a longer beam for improved visibility on unlit roads. Use with caution to avoid dazzling other drivers.

• Daytime Running Lights: Lights that turn on automatically during the day to increase vehicle visibility.

Lights located at the front and rear of the vehicle:

• Position Lights: Small lights that turn on along with the low beam headlights to indicate the position and dimensions of the vehicle.

• Fog Lights: Lights that emit a wide, flat beam of light to improve visibility in conditions of fog, heavy rain or snow.

• Turn signals: Lights that flash to indicate the intention to turn or change lanes.

Side lights:

• Side marker lights: Small yellow or white lights located on the sides of the vehicle, usually near the wheels or on the rearview mirrors, to indicate the presence and length of the vehicle, especially in long vehicles.

• Side indicators: Small indicators located on the sides of the vehicle, generally integrated into the rearview mirrors, to complement the signaling of the front and rear indicators.

Lights located at the rear of the vehicle:

• Brake Lights: These come on when you press the brake pedal to warn vehicles behind you of deceleration.

• Reverse Light: Turns on when reverse gear is engaged to illuminate the rear area of the vehicle.

• License Plate Light: Illuminates the rear license plate so it is visible in the dark.

As described, the brake light is currently used only at the rear of the vehicle to warn vehicles following the vehicle of deceleration. To enhance road safety, the present invention is developed, consisting of a new system consisting of a device that serves as a front brake light and that can optionally include an audible warning.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

In order to achieve the aforementioned design objectives, the invention consists of a system consisting of a luminous device connected to the vehicle's brake pedal electrical circuit. This luminous device will be located on the front of the vehicle so that it is easily visible to pedestrians, either internally under the windshield or on the exterior of the vehicle. Optionally, this device may include an acoustic signal to reinforce the warning signal for pedestrians. Both the luminous and acoustic signals will be activated simultaneously with the traditional rear brake lights.

To complement the description being made and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:

Figure 1.- Shows the acoustic light device located inside the vehicle under the windshield and connected to the brake light circuit.

Figure 2.- Shows the acoustic light device located on the front exterior of the vehicle and connected to the brake light circuit.

Below is a list of the different elements represented in the figures that make up the invention:

1 = Device with light and/or acoustic signal

2 = Vehicle brake light circuit

3 = Location of the device inside the vehicle, under the windshield.

4 = Location of the device on the front exterior of the vehicle.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

The invention consists of a system consisting of a luminous device (1) that will be connected to the electrical circuit of the vehicle's brake pedal (2). This luminous device will be located on the front of the vehicle, either inside under the windshield (3) or on the outside of the vehicle (4). Optionally, this device may include an acoustic signal to reinforce the warning signal for pedestrians. Both the luminous and acoustic signals will be activated at the same time as the traditional rear brake lights.

Light and acoustic system to reinforce road safety, consisting of a light and acoustic device (1) connected to the electrical circuit of the vehicle's brake pedal (2) and located in the front part of the vehicle. 2. Light and acoustic system to reinforce road safety according to claim 1, characterized by locating the light-acoustic device (1) inside the vehicle under the windshield (3). 3. Light and acoustic system to reinforce road safety according to claim 1, characterized by locating the light-acoustic device (1) on the exterior front part of the vehicle (4).
