[0001 ] Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Erneuerung von Schwellen eines aus Schienen und den Schwellen gebildeten Gleises, wobei die Schienen im Bereich von - einen Maschinenrahmen einer Gleisbaumaschine auf den Schwellen abstützenden - Gleitkufen bezüglich einer normal zu einer Gleislängsrichtung verlaufenden Gleisquerrichtung voneinander distanziert werden. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine Gleisbaumaschine zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Diese sind in Gleisquerrichtung 19 nebeneinander im Bereich des Schienenfahrwerks 7 angeordnet und annähernd gleichmäßig über die Länge einer Schwelle 4 verteilt. (Ausführungen mit nur einer oder mehreren Stützvorrichtungen sind im Rahmen der Erfindung gleichermaßen möglich).
