characterized in that said protective frame (26, 126) is open on its second face (30), facing said balance (14), and has first and second openings (34, 36) arranged in said first face (28) to define respective passages for said balance-staff (12) and for said support (18). - The mechanical oscillator (1) according to claim 1, including an index (20) and a balance-spring stud holder (18), in turn carrying a balance-spring stud defining said support, said balance-spring stud (18) being mounted pivoting on said balance-cock (2) so as to allow a circular movement of said support (18) in reference to said balance-staff (12), characterized in that said second opening (36) is substantially in the shape of a ring portion.

- The mechanical oscillator (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said protective frame (26, 126) is made from a material with a high magnetic permeability.
- A clockwork movement including a mechanical oscillator (1) according to any one of the preceding claims.
