Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sink according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • an overflow is provided in the basin of kitchen sinks in connection with an overflow device, which overflow device is connected to the drainage pipe, on which also the drain valve is arranged.
  • the EP 2 453 065 A2 discloses a pop-up overflow drain fitting having a riser and a return line. In order to increase the drainage performance of the process, a vent valve is provided in the overflow.
  • the DE 200 19 328 U1 discloses a washbasin overflow having an overflow channel and a drainage channel, at the junction of which a breather is provided.
  • an overflow and drain fitting which comprises a concealed riser with a riser and a return channel.
  • a check valve is provided at the upper end of the riser (riser).
  • the EP 2 045 403 A1 shows a pop-up waste with integrated overflow with a riser and a return channel, in which at the upper end of the riser (riser) a vent valve is arranged.
  • drain fittings have in common that they have a vent valve, which is arranged at the highest point of a fluidic connection of riser and return line.
  • said drain fittings build relatively large, which is a constructive disadvantage in the cramped area below a sink and also complicates the assembly.
  • a sink in particular kitchen sink, with at least one basin and a drain opening arranged in the basin, comprising: a drain device with a drain valve for opening and closing the drain opening arranged in the sink, which drain device has a vent valve and a drain, which vent valve is connected via a pipe section to the drain valve to provide a drain valve with integrated venting function, wherein the pipe section is connected to a connection part of a connecting piece, which connection piece is arranged below the basin in the region of the drain opening at the outlet of the drainage device.
  • the sink is characterized in that the valve housing is integrally connected to the pipe section and at least partially disposed in projection below the drain opening or inserted into the drain opening insert element, wherein the drain has a drain pipe section, which drain pipe section is suitable for connecting an overflow device , wherein the connecting part opens into the drain substantially straight opposite the drain pipe section and initially extends in extension of the drain pipe section, then laterally bend in about 90 degrees, the pipe section being arranged at this bent portion of the connecting part.
  • a fluid connection for connecting the venting valve to the drain is located approximately opposite a connection of the overflow device to the drain has been found to be particularly favorable in terms of increasing the flow rate.
  • valve housing further components of the vent valve are added.
  • the valve housing in particular the pipe section provided for connecting the valve housing to the drain, is arranged approximately transversely to the flow direction in the overflow device on the drain.
  • the invention is by no means limited to such a configuration.
  • the vent valve By providing the vent valve, the air of the compressed air column, which forms when draining or overflowing the water from the sink of the sink, be vented controlled, so that the existing air in the entire system is reduced and creates sufficient suction.
  • the flow rate in the entire system can be significantly increased. Also in the overflow, for which regularly a flow rate of 12 l / min. is required, the flow rate can be about 6 to 8 l / min. be increased.
  • the vent valve is coupled or connected to the drain valve to provide a drain valve with integrated vent function.
  • the vent valve and the drain valve required for a vent function component quantity can be advantageously reduced.
  • the drain valve with built-in venting function is easy to install, which saves time during installation, and also provides more security in the acceptance of the installation.
  • the vent valve is arranged in the region of a drain of the drain device. Furthermore, an outlet of the drainage device, in which the drain valve is arranged, may be connected to the overflow device already mentioned.
  • the sink has a provided in or on the basin overflow, which is connected via the overflow device with the drain pipe section of the process.
  • a float is provided in the vent valve, in particular in the valve housing.
  • the venting valve opens and closes automatically by means of the above-mentioned float depending on a water pressure or water level in the drain, so that the venting function is safely and independently maintained until a critical water pressure is reached. Only when the water pressure or water level reaches the mentioned critical value, wherein in particular the water level can float said float, the vent valve closes in a secure manner independently and closes a vent provided for ensuring the venting function. Excessive air is thus expelled from the drain so that, after closing the vent valve, there is sufficient water suction to achieve the desired flow rates. Then, when the flow rate and thus the water pressure or water level decreases again, the vent valve opens automatically again and the venting function is available again until the next drain or overflow of water from the sink.
  • the components of the venting valve, as well as the remaining drainage device are formed, without the invention being limited to such a configuration.
  • the drainage device can also be fluidly connected to the overflow, provided that such an overflow is present, which however is likely to be the case regularly.
  • a sink equipped in this way fulfills the requirements set out above with regard to the flow rate, in particular in the overflow.
  • FIG. 1 shows by way of example a sink in the form of a kitchen sink, which is characterized by the reference numeral 1.
  • the sink 1 has a sink 2 and at the top of the sink 2 circumferential rinse edge 3.
  • the sink 1 furthermore comprises a draining surface 4 and an additional or residual basin 5.
  • the sink 1 has a substantially flat area 6, in which a fitting 7 is arranged.
  • the sink 2 is a closable by a drain valve drain opening 8, via which water from the sink 2 can be drained.
  • a drain device is regularly connected, which in FIG. 1 not shown and to which below with reference to Figures 2 ff will be discussed in more detail.
  • the drain device is usually connected from below in the region of the drain opening 8 to the sink 2 and serves to drain water from the sink 2 defined. Furthermore, water can be drained from the sink 2 via a not visible here overflow, which is connected via a corresponding overflow device with a drain pipe of the drain device.
  • FIG. 2 shows a plan view of a drain device 9 according to one embodiment.
  • the drain device 9 comprises a drain valve 10, which in a drain opening 8 of a sink 2 (see FIG. 1 ) can be used. Visible here is essentially visible from the sink 2 from or accessible sieve insert 10a of the drain valve 10, which sieve insert 10a includes a plurality of elongated openings 11 which are arranged in a circle around a circular plate 12 around.
  • the actual closing element of the drain valve 10 is in the view according to FIG. 2 not visible. It moves up and down within the drain opening 8 when actuated by a sink user and correspondingly closes or releases the drain opening 8 at least partially to hold water in the sink 2 or drain it. This function is readily known to those skilled in the art.
  • a pipe section 13 which laterally - transversely to the course of the actual flow direction - protrudes from the drain valve 10 and which is connectable to an overflow device and is itself part of the overflow device.
  • a vent valve 14 is coupled, of which according to FIG. 2 only a housing 14a with a cover part 27 can be seen, wherein in the cover part 27 at reference numeral 27a a Vent is provided. This will be discussed in more detail below.
