Claims (11)

  1. Method for producing a wood fibre board, which has a decoration on its upper side, by scattering glued wood fibres in at least one layer to form a fibre cake and subsequently compressing the fibre cake under pressure and temperature to form a board of the desired thickness, the decoration being applied to the fibre cake by means of at least one inkjet printer before the compression, wherein a protective layer is applied to the decoration before the compression.
  2. Method according to Claim 1, wherein the decoration is applied in a contactless manner.
  3. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that a fibre-resin mixture is scattered on as the protective layer.
  4. Method according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that pigments and/or resins and/or salts are scattered into the fibre cake as further constituents.
  5. Method according to Claim 4, characterized in that a layer of wood fibres that comprises the further constituents is scattered onto wood fibres already scattered on.
  6. Method according to Claim 5, characterized in that the wood fibres in the additional layer are finer than the wood fibres already scattered on.
  7. Method according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that, during the compression of the fibre cake (4) to form a board (8), the previously applied printed image is compressed.
  8. Method according to Claim 7, characterized in that, during the compression, the image dots are either superimposed or move closer together, as a result of which there are more image dots per unit area after the compression than before the compression.
  9. Assembly for producing a wood fibre board, comprising a scattering device (1), by means of which a fibre cake (4) consisting of at least one layer of wood fibres glued with resin is scattered, and a conveying device (2), which conveys the fibre cake (4) in a process direction (T) to a pressing device (7), in which the fibre cake (4) is pressed to form a board (8) of the desired thickness, a printing device (5) being arranged above the conveying device (2) between the scattering device (1) and the pressing device (7), wherein a first additional application device (6) is arranged between the printing device (5) and the pressing device (7) in the process direction (T).
  10. Assembly according to Claim 9, wherein the printing device (5) is at least one inkjet printer.
