Description

The present invention relates to a device for the removal of seals or sealing residues on sealing surfaces according to the preamble of the independent claim.

Beschreibungdescription

The devices installed in domestic and industrial installations, in water-bearing pipelines, e.g. Water meters, heating equipment and sanitary facilities are known to be fitted into the respective pipeline and fastened by means of known screw connections. The required tightness is achieved by sealing rings, which are inserted into the adjacent annular surfaces and pressed against the latter.

In practice, it has now been found that the made of a slightly deformable material, usually made of a plastic or rubber sealing rings over the years adhere to the adjacent, annular pads of the steel, plastic, copper or the like formed pipes extremely and not More can be replaced so easily.

In order to cleanly remove the sealing material from the pipe surfaces were so far no suitable tools available, so that the seal residues were, for example, replaced by screwdrivers. It also showed Achieving exactly clean pads requires a great deal of skill and, in particular, work, since the absolute tightness of the pads can be affected even by tiny residual particles of the sealing material. The uniform and careful scraping of the sealing residues is therefore undoubtedly an important prerequisite for the undesirable occurrence of unevenness and the consequent leakage.

In the CH 664 099 A5 a pipe cleaning tool is shown. In one embodiment, the cleaning tool has a plan-cutting tool on its bottom.

It is the object of the present invention to provide a hand-held or motor-operated device that allows to remove adhering to the sealing surfaces old sealing material with certainty with little effort and time, in turn, absolutely clean contact surfaces for the new To create used sealing rings.

This object is achieved by the device defined in the independent claim. Specific embodiments will be apparent from the dependent claims.

In particular, the objects are achieved by the invention in that the device for the gentle removal of sealing residues on the annular end faces of liquid-conducting pipes, in particular water pipes, a scraper blade support with at least one protruding from its working surface Schabklinge has that a drive member is present, which is coupled torsionally rigid with the doctor blade carrier and the whole in such a way that the device to the zu apply cleansing tube until the scraper blade carrier with the (or the) scraper blade (s) rests against the annular end face of the tube. One of the advantages of the invention is that seals or gaskets on pipe end faces are clean and efficiently removable. It is irrelevant to the functioning of the device, from which material the tube is made. The at least one scraper blade scrape seal material around the axial direction as the device rotates. In this case, the parts scraped off by the gasket can be removed through the recess. The recess is intended to prevent clogging of the scraper blade carrier. There may be several scraper blades per scraper blade support provided. Various scraper blade carriers can be realized, the width of a scraper blade and its arrangement or spacing from the axial axis being dependent on the dimensions of a specific tube or the end face of the tube to be machined.

In one embodiment variant of the device, a guide part, which is matched to the inner or outer diameter of the pipe to be cleaned, is present on the side of the scraper blade carrier which is opposite to the drive element, wherein the guide part securely guides the device during the rotation in the axial direction. One of the advantages of the invention is that the device is securely guided by the guide member on or in the tube. On the one hand, the guided handling can prevent possible injuries to the person operating the device. On the other hand, a uniform machining of the end face or the pad of the pipe end allows. As a guide part, a pin may be provided which is inserted into a tube. It can also be provided a sleeve which partially encloses or encloses the pipe end piece to be machined. The scraper blade carrier may comprise a drive member and / or a retaining ring, wherein the pin and / or the sleeve are also formed as part of the scraper blade carrier.

FIG. 1 shows in perspective a device for removing seals and / or sealing residues on annular sealing surfaces of pipes, in particular on end faces of liquid-conducting and / or fluid-conducting pipes R. The device 1 comprises a doctor blade carrier 2 with a work surface 3, wherein at least one protruding from the work surface 3 Scraper blade 21 is present. The device comprises a drive member 11 which is rotationally rigidly coupled to the doctor blade carrier 2 to thereby remove the seal by means of the doctor blade 21 by rotation of the drive member 11. The device may also be referred to as a scraper, scraper or the like. The scraper blade carrier 2 has at least one scraper blade 21 attached to it. The Schabklingenträger 2 can also have a plurality of scraping blades 21. It has been shown that with three or four scraper blades efficient scraping of the seal or seal residues is achieved.

The scraper blade carrier 2, which is produced in one piece in the embodiment shown, is rotationally rigid with a cylindrical handle 11 serving as a drive member and provided with longitudinal grooves 9 for the purpose of improving grip, a scraper blade retaining ring 22 and a guide pin 23. These three parts 11, 22 and 23 of the scraper device 1 are preferably made as a single part, for example of plastic, but can also be composed of individual parts, for example screwed together.

As FIG. 1 also shows, the handle 11 is radially expanded at the transition to the guide pin 23 to the retaining ring 22, on which the scraper blade 2 is fixed by means of four countersunk screws 4. In principle, it would also be possible to attach the scraper carrier to the retaining ring with other, possibly also insoluble means such as rivets, welding, etc.

The in FIG. 2 2 and 3 shown in enlarged scale is a metal ring, for example made of stainless steel, with the countersunk screws 4 (FIG. Fig. 1 ) required for scraping the seal or seal residues scraper blades 21. The latter are approximately rectangular in the illustrated embodiment and can be made either of the material of the scraper blade 2 worked out or created separately and then be releasably attached. Of particular importance is that they, like Fig. 2 shows, protrude from the Schabklingenträgerebene or work surface 3 at an acute angle. The work surface may also be referred to as the end face of the scraper blade carrier 2. The angle between the respective blade 21 and the underlying end face of the doctor blade carrier should be 20 to 35 degrees.

FIG. 3 shows the device described in the practical application in the removal of sealing residues G by means of the scraping blades 21, wherein the guide pin 23 (FIG. Fig. 1 and 3 ) protrudes into the pipe to be cleaned R with inner diameter d. The device is exactly in the axis A - A out until the doctor blades 21 rest on the front side of the pipe to be cleaned. The three scraper blades 21 visible here then rotate during the rotation of the device on the free annular surface of the tube R and thereby remove the remaining on the annular surface seal residues. The device can also be used to remove stuck-on seals. During the rotation to be performed by hand or by means of a motor, a pressure required according to the adhesion of the sealing material is to be exerted in the axial direction AA.

As FIG. 4 shows, the axial guidance of the device 1 on the pipe to be cleaned R can also be done in other ways. Instead of according to Fig. 1 and 3 used guide pin 23, the device has here at its lower end a guide sleeve 10, the example. At the end face of the doctor blade carrier 2 rests and either rigidly or releasably connected to the handle 11 and the retaining ring 22 is connected. The inner diameter D of the guide sleeve 10 is selected so that the guide sleeve with little play on the outer surface of the pipe section R can push and then safe, ie virtually no play, on the gasket G or the pipe outer surface or pipe end face or the flange piece of the tube R is applied , The reference symbol G illustrates an annular seal and / or sealing residues which rest on the end face of the tube R.

The connection of the guide sleeve 10 with the handle 11 and the retaining ring 22 can be done for example by a protruding from the guide sleeve 10 through the bore of the doctor blade carrier 2 connecting part. Also, the guide sleeve 10, as well as the guide pin 23, with the retaining ring 22 form a single part or be screwed into the bore of the doctor blade carrier 2 and the retaining ring 22.

The retaining ring 22 is, like the FIGS. 1 and 3 show, provided in the region of the doctor blades 21 with recesses 7, so that during the rotation of the device peeling seal residues are discharged to the outside. Accordingly, in the region of each scraper blade 21, a discharge opening 8 opening into the associated recess 7 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) incorporated. The scraped-off seal residues accumulating in the doctor blade area thus reach the discharge opening 8 via the recesses 7 to the outside. The or each discharge opening can also be realized as a hole or hole.

In FIG. 5 the inventive device 1 is shown in an exploded view. The drive member or the handle 11 has at one end a pin 23 which can be inserted into a pipe R, not shown here. The scraper blades 21 are arranged on a disc-shaped scraper blade carrier 2, which is fastened to the retaining ring 22 by means of fastening means, for example screws 4. The scraping blades 21 preferably form a single part with the scraper blade carrier 2.

For the continuous removal of the accumulating, scraped-off sealing parts, a discharge ring 24 provided with collecting openings or discharge openings 8 is arranged here between the scraping blade carrier 2 and the retaining ring 22. The discharge openings 8 of this discharge ring 24 are exactly on the position of the doctor blades 21 (FIG. Fig. 2 and 7 ) aligned on Schabklingenträger 2 that the accumulating seal parts can be smoothly removed. In addition, the position of the discharge openings 8 is also aligned with the position of the recesses 7. The scraping blades 21 and the doctor blade carrier 2 can also be manufactured as a single part. The material used to make the blades 21 must have good cutting properties and should be stainless. Knife steel is preferably used, the blades being cut out or released by means of laser technology.

FIG. 6 illustrates another embodiment of the inventive device 1 in an exploded view. This variant is used in particular when, in an in FIG. 6 not shown pipe R, a union nut is present, which can not be pushed back over the pipe end.

The scraper blades 21 are here, as already described, by means of the scraper blade carrier 2 frontally mounted on the retaining ring 22. The diameter of the retaining ring 22, the doctor blade carrier 2 and the Ableitrings 24 is smaller than the inner diameter of the respective union nut, which rests against the tube R. With this embodiment, it is achieved that even in such cases, seals or sealing residues, for example, on a pipe, a pipe end, a sleeve or a hose coupling can be removed.

FIG. 7 shows in a detailed view of the embodiment according to FIG. 6 a scraper blade carrier 2 with four elongate scraper blades 21 with diverter ring 24th

FIG. 8 shows rake angle α, clearance angle β, wedge angle γ and cutting angle δ of a schematically illustrated cutting wedge or a schematically illustrated scraper blade 21 with a cutting action, applied to a rake face of a workpiece to be machined and guided in the working direction S. In the present case, the rake surface corresponds to the sealing material G to be removed, which adheres to a pipe end piece or pipe R.

FIG. 9 shows rake angle α, clearance angle β, wedge angle γ and cutting angle δ of a schematically represented cutting wedge or a schematically illustrated scraping blade 21 with scraping action, applied to a rake face of a workpiece to be machined and Working direction S out. In the present case, the rake surface corresponds to the sealing material G to be removed, which adheres to a pipe end piece or pipe R. It has been found that even by means of a blunt doctor blade of the inventive device to remove adhering to sealing surfaces old sealing material with little effort and time required to create in turn absolutely clean contact surfaces for the newly inserted sealing rings. To achieve a scraping effect, therefore, the or each scraper blade 21 preferably has a negative rake angle α. Since the scraper blade does not necessarily require sharp scraper blades to solve the problem, the scraper blade carrier 2 can be inexpensively manufactured with the corresponding scraper blades 21.

The described device and the embodiments can be easily operated by hand, but their use in connection with a motor drive, such as a drill, also possible.

Their field of application extends in particular to pipes, pipe sections, sleeves, hose couplings and wherever hoses or pipes are connected to one another, wherein the connection is to be sealed by means of seals. By means of the device according to the invention, it is possible to remove a seal from various materials, such as, for example, rubber, PUR, EPDM, neoprene or silicone.
