Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for injecting fuel according to the preamble of the main claim.
- the inventive device for injecting fuel with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the pressure gain in the fuel injector is simplified and made cheaper by at least one fuel injector, an electromagnetic pressure booster is arranged.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster is connected directly upstream of the at least one fuel injection valve. In this way, only a very small volume is put on a higher pressure, so the energy expenditure for the pressure increase is low and the pressure increase can be reached in a very short time.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster is plugged into an input channel of the fuel injection valve, clipped, welded or pressed. These compounds are particularly simple and inexpensive.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster is fluidly connected to a fuel line.
- the fuel injection valve used is an electromagnetic, piezoelectric or magnetostrictive fuel injection valve.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster has an electromagnet with an exciter coil and an armature, wherein the armature is operatively connected to a piston mounted axially movable in a pressure chamber of the electromagnetic pressure booster, since such a pressure booster is particularly simple and is very inexpensive to produce.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster has an inlet channel, which opens into the pressure chamber via an inlet opening and the pressure chamber has an outlet which is flow-connected to an inlet channel of the fuel injection valve.
- FIG.1 a view of a fuel injection valve with an electromagnetic pressure booster
- Fig.2 a first embodiment
- Fig. 3 A second embodiment of the electromagnetic pressure booster.
- Fig. 1 shows a fuel injection valve with an electromagnetic pressure booster.
- the device according to the invention has at least one fuel injection valve 1, which injects fuel, for example, in a direct injection into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and in a suction tube injection into a so-called intake manifold of an internal combustion engine.
- the at least one fuel injection valve 1 is connected to a fuel line 2, for example a fuel distributor, via which the at least one fuel injection valve 1 is supplied with fuel.
- the fuel injection valve 1 is designed, for example, as an electromagnetic, piezoelectric or magnetstrictive valve.
- a delivery unit 3 is provided, which is designed for example as a flow pump and fuel from a reservoir 4 raises pressure in the fuel line 2 promotes.
- the emissions of an internal combustion engine in a so-called cold start must be reduced.
- the required pressure increase in the fuel line 2 is so high that it can not be achieved by the provided delivery unit 3.
- the delivery unit 3 is followed by another second delivery unit, which is designed for example as a flow pump and increases the pressure in the fuel line to the required value, or it is used a more powerful and therefore more expensive delivery unit.
- the invention provides for the at least one fuel injector 1 to arrange an electromagnetic pressure booster 5 for increasing the pressure.
- at least one pressure booster 5 is provided on each fuel injection valve 1.
- the at least one electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is connected directly upstream of the at least one fuel injection valve 1 and, for example, plugged, clipped, welded, pressed or the like onto an input channel 8 of the fuel injection valve 1. In this way, the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is firmly connected to the fuel injection valve 1 and disposed directly on this.
- the pressure of the fuel is not already increased in the fuel line 2, as in the prior art, but by means of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 just before and / or in the fuel injection valve 1.
- the volume within the fuel injection valve 1 is much smaller than the volume of the fuel line 2 from the reservoir 2 to the fuel injection valve 1, so much less energy is needed to increase the pressure.
- the pressure increase in the fuel injection valve 1 is achieved faster by means of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 than by means disposed in the fuel line 2, with respect to the flow connection further away from the fuel injection valve 1 conveying unit. 3
- Fig.2 shows a first embodiment of the electromagnetic pressure booster.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is a redesigned electromagnetic injection valve, which is configured as described below, for example.
- the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 has a housing 9, in which an electromagnet 7 with an exciter coil 10 and an axially movable armature 11 is arranged.
- a pressure chamber 14 is provided in which a piston 15 operated by the electromagnet 7 is movable axially with respect to an axis 12 is arranged.
- the armature 11, the piston 15 and / or the excitation coil 10 are, for example, arranged centrally with respect to the axis 12.
- the armature 11 is annular over a part of its axial length surrounded by the exciter coil 10, which is arranged in a magnet pot 13.
- An inlet channel 16 opens via an inlet opening 17 into the pressure chamber 14 of the pressure intensifier 5, for example at the periphery of the pressure chamber 14.
- the inlet channel 16 is flow-connected upstream with the fuel line.
- the pressure chamber 14 of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is flow-connected to the fuel injection valve 1 via an outlet 18.
- the piston 15 of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is mechanically coupled to the armature 11 1 and connected thereto.
- the piston 15 is moved by means of a return spring 21 into a first position, in which the piston 15 abuts, for example, against a stop 22 and in which the inlet opening 17 is opened into the pressure chamber 14.
- the piston 15 is in this first position and thus enables emergency operation.
- the armature 11 performs an axial stroke with the piston 15, for example in the direction of the fuel injection valve 1.
- the piston 15 covers the inlet opening 17 after a first partial stroke and in this way closes the flow connection to the inlet channel 16.
- the inlet opening 17 can also be closed in any other way, for example by a separate valve in the inlet channel 16.
- the further partial stroke of the piston 15 generates a pressure increase in the pressure chamber 14 and in the flow-connected to the outlet 18 of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 part of the fuel injection valve 1, since the fuel injection valve 1 is closed at this time and the piston 15 therefore acts on a closed fluid volume.
- the pressure booster 5 causes in this way shortly before the opening of the fuel injection valve 1, a pressure increase of the fuel.
- the fuel injection valve 1 opens after reaching a predetermined pressure increase, at least part of the fuel pressure-increased by the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is injected into the combustion chamber or into the intake manifold of the internal combustion engine.
- the predetermined pressure increase is dependent on the respective operating state of the internal combustion engine and is in each case from parameters the engine controller calculates to open the fuel injector at an optimal time.
- the housing 9 in the region of the coil 10 on a vent hole 30 to ensure pressure equalization.
- the excitation coil 10 is de-energized, so that the piston 15 of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 is moved by the force of the return spring 21 on the piston 15, starting from a second position back to the first position .becomes.
- the inlet port 17 since the inlet port 17 is opened again, liquid flows from the inlet port 16 into the pressure chamber 14 and into the fuel injector 1 downstream of the outlet 18 of the electromagnetic pressure intensifier 5, replacing the amount of fuel injected at the last injection.
- Figure 3 shows a second embodiment of the electromagnetic pressure booster.
- the second embodiment of the electromagnetic pressure booster differs from the first embodiment in that the inlet channel 16 is closed not by the piston 15, but by an interaction of the armature 11 with the piston 15 and that seen in the axial direction between the coil 10 and the Pressure chamber 14, an antechamber 23 is provided.
- the inlet channel 16 does not open into the pressure chamber 14, as in the first embodiment, but into the antechamber 23.
- the armature 11 and the piston 15 are not integrally connected to each other in the second embodiment, but executed as separate parts, at least in sections in the axial direction relative are arranged to move each other.
- a first return spring 21.1 is provided, which is supported with its one end on the piston 15 and with its other end restoring to the Anchor 11 acts.
- a second return spring 21.2 is arranged, which is supported with its one end on the housing 9 and with its other end resetting acts on the piston 15.
- the first return spring 21.1 is made softer than the second return spring 21.2.
- the inlet channel 16 is partially formed in the armature 11 and via at least one provided at anchor 11 inlet opening 17 centrally with respect to the axis 12 in the antechamber 23.
- the inlet opening 17 but also at the periphery of the prechamber 23 and the inlet channel 16 is not in the anchor 11, but be provided separately or on the housing 9.
- the armature 11, the piston 15 and / or the coil 10 are, for example, arranged centrally with respect to the axis 12.
- the armature 11 has at its end facing the piston 15 a closing section 24, which is formed, for example, spherically.
- the pre-chamber 23 is connected via a connection opening 25 with the pressure chamber 14.
- the piston 15 has a centrally arranged with respect to the axis 12 of the pressure chamber inlet 28, which has a beispeilweise conical valve seat 29 at the end facing the pre-chamber 23.
- the valve seat 29 of the piston 15 acts after a predetermined axial stroke of the armature 11 with the closing portion 24 of the armature 11 together and opens or closes the flow connection between the prechamber 23 and the pressure chamber fourteenth
- the piston 15 When energized exciter coil 10, the piston 15 is in the first position on the stop 22, wherein the armature 11 and the piston 15 are axially spaced from each other. As a result, when the field coil 10 is not energized, there is a flow connection from the pre-chamber 23 via the connection opening 25 and the pressure chamber inlet 28 of the piston 15 into the pressure chamber 14, which serves to fill the pressure chamber 14 and the fuel injection valve 1.
- the armature 11 initially performs an axial stroke, for example in the direction of the fuel injection valve 1. After a first partial stroke of the armature 11, the armature 11 strikes with its closing section 24 against the valve seat 29 of the piston 15 and closes this way the pressure chamber inlet 28. After this first partial stroke of the armature 11, the armature 11 moves the piston 15, so that the armature 11 and the piston 15 during the subsequent partial stroke of the armature 11 to execute a common hub.
- the excitation coil 10 is de-energized, so that the piston 15 and the armature 11 by the Krafteinwirkuzng the second return spring 21.2 perform a common return stroke back toward the stopper 22.
- the armature 11 carries out by the force of the first return spring 21.1 alone a further return stroke.
- the pressure chamber inlet 28 is opened again, so that liquid flows from the inlet channel 16 and / or the pre-chamber 23 in the pressure chamber 14 and the fuel injection valve 1 downstream of the outlet 18 of the electromagnetic pressure booster 5 and thereby the Fuel injected at the last injection is replaced.
